Ten Steps to Boost Your Psychic Intuition

Ten Steps to Boost Your Psychic Intuition

Trusting and listening to our own intuition can sometimes be a challenge, especially when you have to make a quick decision. During those times it may seem like you don’t have time to tune into your intuition—but you do! Here are ten quick and easy techniques for boosting your intuitive powers in real time when you’ve got to make a quick decision.

Ask Your Intuition Questions

Framing the questions to evoke more than a “yes” or “no” answer will elicit a more informative response. For example, “How can we get more clients for my psychic reading business?” Or, “What could I do to bring more joy (abundance, love) into my life?” Write down any and all answers that pop into your mind. Don’t censor or judge the responses until you’ve completed the exercise. Go back and highlight two or three that you feel most excited about. Take action on those!

Ask For a Symbolic Picture

If you’re trying to make a decision about something and your logical, rational mind is running amok, close your eyes and ask for a symbolic picture of the solution. Intuitive answers often come through a visual representation. Write about—or better yet, draw—the image you receive. What does it communicate about the answer to your question?

Ask Your Guide

Imagine for a moment that you have a wise inner guide. You do, you know! Close your eyes. Bring your hands to your heart and feel the love and compassion that this guide has for you. Ask your guide about your question or concern. You may feel a simple shift in perception or a sense of peace. Perhaps words form in your mind indicating a new way of thinking about the situation. The answer from your guide might come through the vehicle of your imagination. You may feel like you’re making it up at first. What wisdom did you receive? Take some small action steps based on your guide’s answer.

Get Moving

Simply standing up and moving will bring more oxygen to your brain and help you think more clearly. Put your work on hold and go for a brisk walk. Tell yourself that at the end of your walk, your intuition will provide you with the answer. Chances are good simply getting out into fresh air and taking your focus off your problem will generate a creative idea or two.

Daydream

Think about the challenge, decision, or problem you’re facing. In your mind’s eye, visualize yourself in a situation where you’re dealing with this issue and expect an answer. Perhaps someone comes up to you and provides the solution in a conversation. Or you might see a book, banner, note, or some other communication that gives you a clue to the response you’re seeking. While it may seem odd or silly, you’d be surprised how many wonderful solutions come forth this way.

Meditate

Simply calm your mind by focusing on your breathing. Repeat a word or phrase that makes you feel relaxed, such as “peace,” “It’s all good,” or “calm.” Buddhists call this mindfulness. When we slow down for even a few moments we cultivate our creativity, intuition, and inner peace.

Notice How It Feels

You’re trying to make a decision about “Vacation A” or “Vacation B.” You’ve got all the costs, dates, and travel itineraries, but you’re still not sure which one to choose. Close your eyes and imagine saying “yes” to “Vacation A.” How does that decision feel? How do you feel emotionally? Heavy, weighty, depressing feelings generally indicate “Don’t go with this.” Up, energizing, enthusiastic, positive emotions point to an affirmative response. Now go through the same exercise only this time with “Vacation B.” Which one feels better to you?

What Does Your Body Say?

The ancient Chinese believed that wisdom resides in the stomach—an early example of “trust your gut,” perhaps? If your stomach becomes nervous at the thought of a particular direction, pay attention. Other physical sensations may provide clues as well. Perhaps you break into a sweat when faced with a choice you know isn’t right. Others might feel a tingly zing up their spine. On the other hand, a warm, cozy feeling might indicate you’re heading in the right direction. Only you know your body and can read its signs. When you’re comfortable translating its messages you’ll have tapped into your inner genius.

Pay Attention to Your Enthusiasm

Divine intuition speaks to you most strongly through your hopes and dreams. The root of the word enthusiasm is from the Latin word, entheos, meaning “God Within.” It means that the Divine communicates your next steps through excitement. What makes you feel passionate? That’s a clue from your intuition! Head in that direction.

Communicate with Your Angel

Imagine that you are surrounded by light. See it flowing all around you and connected to all the love in the Universe. Visualize streams of light coming from the heavens and coursing through your entire being. Imagine that you are connecting with this light and feel yourself opening to it. You might imagine that you are floating among the stars. Feel your angel’s presence wanting to communicate with you. Ask your angel a question. Take whatever issue pops into your mind first. Here’s a list of questions you might want to ask: “How can I stay in contact with you?” “What should I call you?” “How do you want to work with me?” “What message do you have for me?” “What’s my purpose in life.” Write whatever comes to you. Don’t censor what you receive. Just continue to be open and let go of any judgment.

Try all ten techniques and see which one works best for you. Intuition is like any skill, the more you use it the stronger it gets. It will always point you in the direction of success and happiness. Good luck!
