   Gary Stewart’s third top ten hit on the country chart and his only release to hit number one, “She’s Actin’ Single (I’m Drinkin’ Doubles)” stayed at number one for a single week in 1975 and spent a total of nine weeks within the top 40. The song was recorded by Ronnie Dunn of Brooks & Dunn in 2010 for the soundtrack to the film Country Strong.

   I Reckon It’s Real

   Legendary Country artist George Strait recorded this song in 1987 for his album Ocean Front Property. This tune, about a guy who lives in Tennessee because all of his ex-girlfriends live in Texas, was also used in the 1989 film Road House and on the soundtrack for the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

   I Reckon It’s Real

   “Thank God and Greyhound” was a song made famous by country music singer Roy Clark. Released in 1970 as the second single to the album I Never Picked Cotton, this song about a guy watching his girl leave him on a Greyhound bus made it to the top 10 on the Billboard Magazine Hot Country Singles chart.

   This 1977 single, from his album Slide Off Your Satin Sheets, was written by Johnny Paycheck, most famous for his song “Take This Job and Shove It.” One of the most prolific songwriters of the ’70s, Paycheck’s songs were recorded by everyone from Waylon Jennings to Willie Nelson.

    This 1965 novelty tune was actually penned by public relations safety officer Sergeant James S. “Trooper Jim” Foster. Trooper Jim used to travel the South, speaking to civic groups about traffic safety before becoming a country-western singer/songwriter and producer. “Four on the Floor” was his biggest hit.
