Waddy Thompson is director of external affairs for the New York Foundation for the Arts, where he oversees fund-raising activities from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government sources, bringing in $5 million a year; and has worked as a grant writer for organizations including Poets & Writers, Inc., Second Stage Theatre, and Whitney Museum of American Art.
